Database of Human Skeletal Remains

About project

The Internet Database of Human Skeletal Remains project was created at the Department of Anthropology at Faculty of Science, Masaryk University in Brno. Production of this database was financially supported by the Czech Science Foundation within the project 404/08/0582 Internet Database of Human Skeletal Remains Uncovered by Archeological Researches in the Moravia and Silesia. It is a three-year-span project investigated in the years 2008 till 2010. We are cooperating on the database creation with the Monument Care Department, headquarters, which administrates the State Archeological Directory of the Czech Republic (SAS), with which our database is interconnected. The technical database solutions, updates and service are provided by the Adamna NET company. We are cooperating on this project with many other institutions, above all with the Department of Anthropology of National Museum in Prague and The Moravian Museum in Brno.
